One night, I dreamed of being a researcher, and today I’m…
#HumansofSTEAM
Since I was very little, literature has fascinated me, both as a reader and a creator. The possible worlds, the ways of writing, the knowledge of “the best that has been though and written through history…” Being able to teach literature and research on literary creation always seemed like a privilege to me. So, to the extent of which I was able to (the beginnings were not easy), I decided to head that way.
I think literature has a different profile compared to other kinds of research: Is more solidary, less collective (we don’t usually sign our articles between multiple authors) intuitive rather than coldly objective; it does not require as much technical equipment; Sometimes it can drift into ideological terrain; it can seem less practical… Nevertheless, is there something more illuminating that to know the depth of the human being through the author that could express it with the best styles and contents. I don’t think so.
