One night, I dreamed of being a researcher, and today I’m…
#HumansofSTEAM
Since I was a kid, I always wanted to study and know animals. Back in the day, I remember watching captivated the documentaries by Félix Rodríguez de la Fuente and Jacques Cousteau. From there I began to participate in bird watching and conservation efforts. From those experiences I kept my love to birds, and learned the importance of communicating with society.
For most of my career as a biologist, I have studied how the wildlife reacts to environmental changes, being it climate change, invasive species or polluting agents. For the last few years, I have essentially worked to understand the situation in the area affected by the Chernobyl nuclear accident. This allows me to combine my job with some of my favourite hobbies, such as wildlife observation and photography.
I spend my free time with my wife and two daughters, trying to travel and dedicate time to reading.
