The University of the Balearic Islands (UIB) was founded in 1978 and has 14,000 students on official undergraduate and postgraduate courses. It is a young university that has established itself as a research institution at national and international level, with a significant economic impact on the Balearic Islands. Due to its size and philosophy, the UIB is committed to direct contact with students, teaching quality and the pioneering use of ICT in the digital classroom, as well as promoting partnerships with public and private institutions to facilitate the integration of students into the workforce.
