One night, I dreamed of being a researcher, and today I’m…
#HumansofSTEAM
I studied nursing, and in the practices at healthcare centres, I didn’t only mature as a professional, but also as a person. That is because occupations responsible of people’s health require great behaviour skills: relationships, aspirations, persistence, resolve, charisma, and enthusiasm.
Then, in the professional world, I had to try multiple positions to know what I preferred: Hospitals, healthcare centres, private centres, town halls, prevention centres, formation centres, and prisons.
So, thanks to all this discovery, I forged myself into a nurse. But then I had another dream, to become a university professor. Teaching how to save lives. It took a lot of effort and sacrifice to achieve, but today I can proudly say that I’m a university professor at the nursing degree, and that I keep fighting, working and discovering. Because that what research is, discovery.
There were people that inspired me, that crossed through my live and at are or have been very important. A biology teacher, multiple university professors, friends and colleagues, my family, and my partner. All of them supporting me, allowing me to fly. And I encourage everyone to keep discovering.
